Observations/Changes form this weeks racing:

The B Main Starting Grid was staggered like F1.  The throttle peddle was left live.  This seemed to work better and we will try this for all races next week.

Both Main's were restarted BEFORE the 1st lap was completed.  When this happens the field will be restarted Single File from Starting Position with the exception of the spun kart or the driver that caused the spin.  I'm sure you can guess this is difficult to determine.  If you spin on your own you will be moved back one position, but I don't think this ever happened.  If you cause someone to spin you will be moved back one position.  This was our attempt this past week.

If you bump someone going into or out of a turn and pass them as a result of the bump you will be penalized one position.  If you do it twice you will be Black Flagged and not scored for that race.  We know that some minor bumping is going to happen as a result of sliding in corners.  If you should bump someone in a turn, DO NOT PASS the until you can pass clean.  We believe Clean Racing will keep everyone happy.  Our main goal is Fun!

Racers at the last November race requested to run 2 Main’s rather that 4.  This is fine with us because the overall time for the 2 Main’s is shorter then 4 Main’s counting a 10 minute down time between the first and second Main.  Please let me know if you would like to go back to 4 Kart Main’s.

Keep in mind the less time we spend sorting out spun karts the more time can be spent racing and not just sitting on the track.  During the heat races we did have to wait a few minutes for karts to be fully charged.  Hopefully the changes we make this week will solve this issue.
